CABIP’s Free Membership Announcement FAQ
1. Why are membership fees no longer being charged?
Answer: To mark CABIP’s 2nd anniversary on November 1, 2023 and with great appreciation to our foundational members and all our partners and sponsors – CABIP is now offering free memberships. CABIP acknowledges the current daily fiscal struggles our members may be experiencing and as such, look to provide some income relief by opting to discontinue charging membership fees at this time.
2. Am I entitled to a refund if I purchased my membership on or before November 1st?
Answer: Refunds will be provided to any paid CABIP member in good standing, whose membership was renewed or purchased 30 days or less, prior to or as of, November 1, 2023.
3. If I am entitled to a refund, will it be a full refund or pro-rated?
Answer: Full refunds will be provided to any paid CABIP member in good standing, whose membership renewed or was purchased 30 days or less, prior to or as of, November 1, 2023. Pro-rated refunds will not apply.
4. What happens if my membership renews after November 1, 2023?
Answer: CABIP memberships renewing after November 1, 2023 will be automatically renewed at no charge.
5. Who can I contact to discuss my membership further?
Answer: Send your inquiries to info@cabip.ca.
6. How do I renew my annual CABIP membership?
Answer: You do not need to take action to renew your membership. Your free CABIP membership will automatically renew annually, on October 31st.
7. If I no longer wish to be a CABIP member, how do I cancel or lapse my annual membership?
Answer: Please send your membership cancellation or lapse request – including your name, the effective date, as well as the reason for your cancellation or lapse – to info@cabip.ca. If no date is provided, the membership will be cancelled effective the date your request was received.
